A talent agent who wishes to remain nameless has released a statement about diver Matthew Mitcham's involvement in Madi Gras.
The agent says the Olympic gold medalist is putting his career at risk by openly celebrating his gay sexuality.
He has said 'homophobia (is) still rampant amongst the gatekeepers of the Aussie media, particularly in television.'
Mitcham will be leading this weekend's Sydney Mardi Gras Parade.
19 year old American music artist Chris Brown has been charged with felony counts of assault and making criminal threats by the LA County District Attorney.
The charges relate to the alleged attack on his famous American girlfriend Rhianna on February 8th.
If convicted on all counts, Brown could face a sentence of probation to four years and eight months in state prison.
Brisbane's own Violent Soho will play their last local gig for months to come tonight before heading off to make it big in the US.
